Newly formed team, me&em design, played their first friendly match against established team, Blue Belles, and held their own in a close fought match. New players turned up too and took part in some fun drills - many thanks to Penny Cooper for running the training session! See you next week! And remember, now is the perfect time to join us as we will form our next new team in the coming weeks - but we need more players!

RCNL's 3rd training session saw 18 of you coming BACK TO NETBALL! Some new mums and lots of self-confessed 'unfit' ladies nervously took to the courts to take part in training drills - which turned out to be a lot of fun and not at all scary!! We finished off with a match, where even the most under-confident players showed off some great skills, laughed a lot and realised just how exhillarating sport can be! See you next week!!
Another great session was held tonight and 2 new players joined came BACK TO NETBALL! Check out the photos on the site, take a look at our mention on page 38 of The Rutland Times and spread the word about BACK TO NETBALL with RCNL!!
Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed attending RCNL's Back To Netball training session last night. It was really friendly, really good fun and really nice to get a bit of exercise!! I thoroughly recommend it to anyone thinking about giving it a go. See you next week - and thank you to the organisers.
Rutland County Netball League's first BACK TO NETBALL training session was held last night (Thursday 6th October 2011) and was a huge success! New players attended and quickly re-learned the basic rules - footwork, obstruction, contact! - and took part in some fun drills, before embarking on their first game in ... well, 20 years for one member!
Some experienced players from local teams Rutland Panthers, Blue Belles and Catmose Cougars came along to lend their support and assist the beginners in their first training session, and a great time was had by all.
If you're interested in attending the next session, please come down next Thursday, to Catmose College Sports Centre, 7PM. Sessions cost £2 per player.
